Problem installing CCleaner 3.17

I just got a Lenovo system with Win7 Home Premium pre-installed. A native 64 bit system, Intel i-5. Attempting to install the latest CCleaner (3.17) on this system crashes the system each time. I even tried to run the installer in XP mode with no success. Yet it installs and run just fine on my Lenovo laptop (Pentium P6200), but I suspect that is in 32 bit mode. Any ideas as to work-arounds or why it will not install on the i-5 system? Thanks.

Steve_B - I have no idea why CCleaner is not working for you. I have a 64-bit system and it installs and works just fine.

You might have a corrupted installer file. Have you tried downloading it again and seeing if that cures the problem?

I also think that your installer is corrupted. I would suggest downloading it from other mirror site. I also use ccleaner with no issue at all.
