Hi all,
In XP there was a very handy windows photo print function, I liked the one
where I could fit 4 postcard size on an A4 sheet.
I am very new to Windows 7 but cant find anything like it?
Mick.

Why are you keeping it a secret?

Hi, sorry I thought it was only me who did not know where it was!
Right click on desired photo, then select "print" this opens up the "wizard"
Much the same as it was in XP, I like the 4 to an A4 sheet one.

As long as you're in the mood to look for things, may I suggest that
you look for a better newsreader? The one you're using, Windows Live
Mail v15, is probably the worst possible choice. Notice how your text
flows right into the text that you replied to, making it impossible to
see who said what?

Take a look at Windows Live Mail 2009 (v14) or Thunderbird, for
starters. There are lots more to choose from, and just about all of
them will do a better job than what you're using now. Thank you for
your consideration.

No, I had never heard of this feature. Pretty well done, I think.
Bravo, Microsoft. Thank you.

Hi Char,
If I can go back to (v14) or Thunderbird then I will, I know
little about newsreaders and used Outlook Express for news in XP.
I have still been expecting to have to re install Win 7 because of booting
problems, so have not looked very far as yet.
Mick.

Although I've been using Demon's 'Turnpike' since 1998-ish, I can
thoroughly recommend Thunderbird. However, it's worth while doing a bit
of personalization. One absolute essential which is (mysteriously)
initially disabled is the ability to delete individual newsgroup
postings, and you need to edit the configuration file to enable it. I
have also changed the vertical coloured bars that precede the quoted
text to the more-usual '>>>' symbols. [You need a plug-in to do this,
and it won't install unless you again edit the Thunderbird
configuration file.] My third gripe is that setting the fonts is
essentially an imponderable mystery - but with a bit of trial and error,
you can eventually get something which is generally pleasing to the eye.
If you need help with Thunderbird, Google seems a far better friend than
clicking on 'Help'! Despite these comments, I really do like it!

Have a look at http://www.dusko-lolic.from.hr/wlmquote/; if you used OE,
you might have come across OE-Quotefix, and it looks like WLMquote might
do something similar for WLM15.

The main and the most glorious achievement of television is that it is killing
the art of conversation. If we think of the type of conversation television is
helping to kill, our gratitude must be undying. (George Mikes, "How to be
Inimitable" [1960].)

Thunderbird gives you the option of top or bottom response.

I think WLMquote fixes WLM15's lack of quote characters.

Your arrow keys, PageUp/PageDn keys, or mouse give you the option of top
or bottom response in *any* email and news client.

(You should start at the top, for trimming purposes, then place your
comment(s) after the item(s) you are responding to.)

I know exactly what he meant, Wolf. Did you read my parenthesized
paragraph?
