(OT) Data flow in a network

Hi,

We have a LAN with a work station and two other pc's, A and B. Both pc's
have a shared directory on the LAN. I'm working on my work station and
open both share A and share B. Now I start to copy files from share A to
share B. My question is: How is the data flow? From share A to my
workstation and from here to share B? Or straight away from A to B,
completely bypassing my work station?

Just being curious. But depending on the answer, in the future I might
control pc A with RDP, and copy the files from there straight away to
share B.

Yes

That's the way Novel Netware used to do it $MUMBLE years ago.

Thanks.
Next time I will control pc A with RDP and initiate the copying of files
to B from there.

Novell ... a long time ago. Did do a course of Novell 4 once ...
