Odd Windows-7 DNS Error message

This is very strange. I have a newly purchased Windows-7 system and there
is a particular internet site that I have to click on TWICE to access. I
have a shortcut for the site set up, and when I click on the icon the first
time during an IE browser session, I ALWAYS get this message: "DNS Error -
Server cannot be found". When I click on the icon a second time, it
connects with no problem. As long as the browser window is open, I can then
connect and reconnect to this site all I want with no problem.

If I don't use the icon and just type in the site into IE, the result is the
same. The first time I type in the site name, I get the error message.
The SECOND time I type it in, it connects fine, and then it continues to
connect fine for the duration of the IE session.. The site is www.humyo.com
(it is a file storage site), and I have no trouble accessing it from any
other computer. I also have no problem on this computer with any other site
(so far at least). I am using Windows-7 Home Premium and IE 8.0.7600.16385.

Any idea of what's causing this or how to fix?

I am not sure myself but does it help at all to type in "ipconfig
/flushdns" in the command prompt?

Does this problem exist only with IE8?
Have you tried with a different browser that is not based on IE?
Actually, it might be interesting to see if the same thing happens in a
browser based on IE.

If this happens only in IE, maybe you could try to disable unneeded
add-ons (Tools->Manage Add-ons), if any. You could try to disable
everything first and see how it goes.

DNS error in Windows 7 05/21/2011

I am getting the error message DNS cannot connect to the server.when I use Google Chrome as my browser. I am getting booted off web sites and also my ISP. I ran a free scan from a site that says I have numerous registry problems.
Tis all started on 05/21/2011. I was using Microsoft Security Essentials as my antivirus.
