Lost screen on Windows 7 upgrade.

Hi all, and sorry to say I am a bit new to these matters.

I have tried to install a windows 7 free upgrade from ACER on my other computer and have had a whole succession of aborts. It was running Windows Vista home premium 64 bit, and I was sent the appropriate Windows 7 upgrade disc.

The last attempt kept identifying anticipated conflicts, and suggesting applications to be un-installed before proceeding, one of which was the Catalyst graphics driver and control centre.

I called a halt after whole variety of further stops, ' Windows cannot boot in windows 7' etc, and switched off forgetting I had un-stalled the catalyst software. Now when I power up, I just have a black screen that just says 'no signal'.

Is there any way I can resurrect the screen image to re-install the lost driver???

Do you have more than one graphics port to connect a monitor?
If so can you check and see if there is a signal on the other port?

I have checked Clifford, and as I suspected there is only a single port for the monitor to connect to

I wanted to be sure of course.

I'm afraid I only have two other solutions.
Try this one first - http://en.kioskea.net/forum/affich-35484-monitor-gets-no-signal-computer-won-t-boot. I'm not sure it will work but worth a shot.

If that doesn't work, you may need to check all your inner PC connections. Remove all components and reconnect them memory and PC card as well as all cables.
