Good day

My C: drive seem's corrupt. Can't boot my win7, neither in safe mode. Did try to repair my version 64 with the installation disk, no luck, same problem.

How can i do a repair disk on the drive like chkdsk on it. Is there a tool in the installation disk?

Yes.

Boot the install dvd to system recovery options . ( on the Install Now screen, click Repair My Computer at bottom left).

It will search for windows installations, click Next. Click Command prompt. Type:

chkdsk /f

press enter.

If windows is unable to see or access the HD - use a bootable partition manager. This is a great free one here:

http://www.partitionwizard.com/download/pwhe41.iso

it is an .iso file. Burn it as an IMAGE not as data to cd - do not format the cd.

You can use this isoburner to do it.

Great information here, but unfortunaly, i read it a bit late.

I re-installed Win7. Now, my existing files as been relocated to "Windows Old" files.

Now my next tread will be how to replace them under there appropriate directory?
