Is Windows 10 a generic, bad versions of Windows 7?

The more I try the released versions of Windows 10 the more I get this impression, do you feel the same about Windows 10?
Does it fell like, at best, an unfinished, badly done generic copy of Windows 7 with a few new ideas(badly executed)?

Yes, there were things that were held over to Windows 8. But Windows 10 is more like a "Fixed" version of Windows 8.
Think Windows Vista and what a mess that was.

I gotta think that MS knows that they better get this one right, and even that won't necessarily save them from the damage caused by version 8.x.

Microsoft can’t afford to make any bad impressions with Windows 10 after the mixed reception to both Vista and Windows 8.

I think it's windows 8 or8.1 with a start menu slapped in it.

To me it's like Windows 7 with 8.1 slapped in the start menu.
