IE9 Beta and the final version

The time slots, or boxes, don't respond when you click
on them. Tesco told him to either revert back to the inferior IE8 or use
another browser. He shops at Sainsburys now.
Calling one version of IE inferior to another is a little like opening
a carton of rotten eggs and declaring that one is more rotten than
another. ;-)

In my humble opinion, of course.

Or, more accurately and closer to what you actually meant, is like using two
silk handkerchiefs and declaring white silk smoother than red. ;-)
In my humble opinion, of course.
Of course.

The only issue I've encountered, or rather my friend has encountered, is
online shopping at Tescos. They've been too slow to make their website
compatible with IE9. He gets all his shopping done, goes through the virtual
checkout, but can't book a delivery time because that particular page on the
site is unresponsive. The time slots, or boxes, don't respond when you click
on them. Tesco told him to either revert back to the inferior IE8 or use

Your friend is smarter than Tescos is :)

thanks.

It's like this guy I used to work with, he claimed that he liked Hall
Brothers milk better than Barber's milk. Funny thing is that both name
brands are owned by the same company, and the milk comes from the same
cows... go figure.

I want IE9 and I'm tired of waiting for the RC to arrive, supposedly some
time this month. If I download the beta version will the RC version just
replace the beta version in a Windows update, or will I need to uninstall
the beta version manually and then install the RC version?
====================================================================

Today I downloaded IE9 RC from the following source:

http://windows.microsoft.com/en-US/internet-explorer/products/ie-9/home

I have been using IE9 Beta since September 2010 and have been eagerly
waiting for the RC and the final. After a few hours of using the RC version,
I see few differences from the Beta version. As promised, there are ActiveX
Filtering and Tracking Protection functions but other than that I don't see
much new.

One nice surprise was that the RC version downloaded directly over the Beta
version and maintained all for my personal settings -- no reversion back to
IE8 required.

One feature I like is the ability to have the tab bar on its own line. That
way
I can have up to 12 tabs open before having to scroll.

How is a human meant to tell which of that was written by bobster and
which was written by you?

Just keep switching back and forth between the two postings and compare
them by eyeball. It's really easy.

Back to truth: if it is easy to see at a glance (as it *sometimes* is in
WLM), I'll read it. Otherwise, I just press the space bar, which in this
reader moves on to the next unread message.
