I didn't look it up, but I can guess what it means. It obviously shares the
first part with obstetrics, the second part is dealing with the strep
bacteria, and after that I'm not completely sure but I think it deals with
being porous. All these years later, Hooked on Phonics stills pays off.

I was of use to a lady in the summer of 1982 in Biloxi, MS. She said she had
used me as a bad example when talking to her 16-year old daughter about who
her friends should be. Or shouldn't be, as it were.

Just to close the circle, when I told the neighbor lady that I was moving,
she rewarded me with a parting gift. She bought me a t-shirt that said, "I'm
not completely worthless. I can always serve as a bad example." I wore that
shirt with pride for as long as it lasted.
