Folder options?

Win7 SP1

In Windows Explorer "Folder Options" there are two
"folder-opening" options: ('general' tab)

1/ Open each folder in the same window.
2/ Open each folder in its own window.

Which ever option I choose, nothing changes. Is
there something else I should do?

Mine works.
Two things;
1. You must hit Apply.
2. If the folder fills the whole screen it'll cover the previous display.
