Delete Wondows.old folder

I have tried all the suggestions I could find online and still cannot remove
the folder.
- I have run disk cleanup\cleanup system files and it is still there.
- I have changed the attributes on the folder - it is still there (CANNOT
DELETE IT)

I am running Win7 Ultimate X64 on an I& with 16Ggs ram.

Any help appreciated.

In addition to any other tips you receive, please read this KB article to
see WHY you cannot change attributes on the folder, and why that doesn't
matter:

You cannot view or change the Read-only or the System attributes of folders
