Curious error message.

From a video converter program, and this has happened for the first
time.

"Access violation at address 004A3D4E in module 'WTV2Mpeg.exe'. Read

Is this just a random event? I record TV programs and the conversion
of the WMP file caused the error.

Does your unspecified video converter program claim to be compatible
with Windows 7?

Since you say it only happened once, it's hard to see a pattern just
yet.

Yes it does claim to be compatible with Win7. It works rather well
normally. Perhaps there's something wrong with the movie.

it transcodes the whole movie, typically 4Gb.

I have sent off an email to the dvr-ms.com, and breathlessly await a
reply.

I recorded 3 movies last night, and two of them gave no trouble. Just
one did.

Incideltly, how does one copy & paste the text in pop-up error
messages; the normal way will not work.

Try Control C, then paste into notepad?

As to the problem with the converter, I've had that happen when the
video was corrupt, protected in some way, or had malware embedded.
