I've moved a bunch, too. (Career military) I've mostly learned to
accept the fact that some things will get broken, damaged, or lost,
and there isn't much I can do about it.
I moved a bunch as a child, so a lot of the trauma was always being the
new Bloch on the block. Still, it was also very educational in some
ways. But there are things I learned only much later in life, often
related to socialization.

For Gene and Winston. It was 2 things keeping it from working, the Pop and
the fact my laptop was logged into the gmail server as I was copying the
information. Once I got it to POP, not POP3 and closed WM on Vista, I had no
trouble. :^)

Glad you made it through, and you know what they* say, it's the trauma
and everything else that makes us who we are.

*Who are 'they"?

trouble. :^)
