I probably shouldn't have computers anymore. Typing this on my laptop cause my desktop froze up again, so I turned the power off, turned it back on and got "Windows didn't shut down correctly" and the arrow key wouldn't highlight "Start Windows normally." I don't know the p/w for the recovery tool, I tried all the possible p/w both for the local user (me) and the home group user. I just had it repaired and I'm in TX and it takes forever to get anything done around here and pennies are tight. Can anybody help me?

I'll remind everyone that I'm a 100% disabled vet trying to recover from a brain tumor, practically chair bound, in dire straits on a fixed income.

I fixed it myself, kept hammering away at passwords until it gave me a menu and then I did a restore.
