Tried to back up this install of windows. I get an error message that says Windows did not back up did not complete successfully. Tried to backup to a different drive, no go as well. What do I need to do? Windows is saying I have a hard disc error and need to backup a soon as possible. Help!

If your hard drive has issues it may not be possible for Windows Backup to access all the files correctly to complete successfully.
Or if your back-up drives are over 2GB, Windows Backup cannot use them.

Try different backup software or simply use Windows Easy Transfer to create a MIGration file or even more simple such as copy your Data (Pictures, Documents, etc) folders to your backup drive.
