Windows 7 key for Windows 8.1

Hello

My laptop came with windows 7 pro AO, and i updated it to Windows 8.1 for free.

my question is can i do fresh install of windows 8.1 and use the product key of the windows 7 that came with my laptop?

Thanks..

one more thing can i do fresh install of windows 10 and use the same? since the upgrade to Win 10 is free

No, you would need the Win 8.1 product key, even if it was free at the time it would have come with a key.

Yes, you can reserve Win 10 for free from the latest W7 or W8 updates.
