Just built my first PC, installed Windows 7. Every time I click shutdown from the start menu it turns off then boots right back up. Any ideas on whats going on, is something wrong with the PC? It wasn't doing this a few days ago. It just recently started doing it. I first noticed that in the morning that my PC was on even thought the night before I turned it off. Then I tried shutting it down tonight and it just basically restarts instead.

Here is my build list in case anyone needs it: http://pcpartpicker.com/user/budmonster/saved/DRZqqs

Sorry, didn't notice this thread till today...

There could be a short in the power switch. Did you recheck all your wiring?

Are you actually shutting it down or just putting it to sleep? Does it turn back on immediately as if it is a reboot?

There are sleep options such as wake on lan, wake on keyboard, or wake on mouse
