Hello w7forums users!

I hope you will be able to offer some advice on my problem. I am using Windows 7 (7022) and when my computer comes out of standby I get a message in the network centre saying something to the effect of Unidentified Network, Local Access on my internet connection (to a router via wireless).

Trying a repair doesn't work, nether does restarting my router or disconnecting and trying some time later. Another computer on the very same network works fine, so I can rule out a hardware problem.

Welcome to the forums dilbert :ciao:

So this only happens coming out of standby, and not in normal use? Also, which wireless card do you have?

Things I'd check are:
  • Make sure you've got the latest wireless card drivers.
  • Try disabling the option to turn the card off in low power mode.
  • Try another later build, there are lots of bug fixes since 7022
