Sound Driver Question

Ive just realised that when i plug my head phones into my notebook that i get no sound through them. The sound mutes on my notebook but i get nothing through my head phones.

It was working cool on Vista but not now. I'm thinking drivers but I'm not sure what ones i need. Any ideas please ?

I have standard drivers installed on W7 RC. Machine Specs on my list .

Do you mean you used the standard drivers that Windows provides, or the ones from the Acer?

If you used the ones that came with W7, you could always try the Asus ones from here and see if you have any luck:

i would try Ian's idea ... should work.... you may have to install the sound driver in Vista compatibility mode .
