I've just performed a quick site upgrade to the latest XenForo version (released as stable today).

There are a few improvements that you may notice, mainly with regards to creating polls and being able to highlight text within a message that you'd like to quote and a popup "reply" button will appear :).

If you spot any problems, please do let me know :).

Ian,

I was wondering if you could offer https (SSL)?
I heard (a rumor) that google was going to bias its results towards sites with encrypted connections.

It appears that the option to change the signature is missing.

As it happens I looked in to this a few weeks ago, but it's more problematic than it may appear. Getting an SSL license is straightforward enough, but getting an SSL forum to work without problems is another matter. If there is any non-SSL content on the page (which is quite often), then there are security warnings which will appear and put off a significant number of users that don't understand the reason. XenForo did make some efforts to help this by offering an image proxy feature, but there are still plenty of things that get through it. Also, it looks like Google counts http and https as different sites, so even if we redirected any http > http links, we'd still take a hit in terms of old links. SSL is the way to go for new sites if possible, but for somewhere established that doesn't have a high risk profile then it looks more difficult for the time being.

It appears that the option to change the signature is missing.
Thanks for the heads up, should be fixed now :D.

Ian,

Yea, I was thinking that the SSL thing was going to to be a bit more difficult to implement.

Thanks for fixing the signature option.
