recommendation that i got for anti-virus and browser

hi
i got recommendation for most lightly anti-virus and browser for mini laptop
(1.66 atom N280, 2G memory, Windows 7 pro)
the MS Security Essentials anti-virus,
and the Google Chrome for browser
is it really the most lightly anti-virus and browser ?
is there something better ?

MS Security Essential will do just fine for you on AV software.

I personally don't like Google Chrome, that's my opinion.

I like Firefox, because it has a more configurable browser.

Some people like Opera Browser.

Browser choice is yours, any of the will do just fine for your purpose.
