Preview images in Windows Explorer

Up until yesterday I could see a preview of the images in the lower left
corner of the window.
Now all I see are the logos for the applied program.
How do I get the images back?

windows 7 home premium 64 bit.

never mind.
Forgot about folder options.
the box was checked to show icons, not images.
