Veedaz, do I take it that I am to right click on the drive in 'computer' select 'properties? If so, I can only find one tick box that looks similar to your suggestion, and that states 'allow files on this drive to have contents indexed in addition to file properties'. Am I supposed to deselect this box? what abpout the other services that Thrax and you mentioned, i.e system restore, windows defrag, NTFS memory usage, date stamping, boot tracing, page file, prefetching, 8.3 names and superfetch. I note from earlier posts that some of these may be automatically dealt with by windows 7 once it recognises the SSD, but I don't seee where i'm supposed to manually amend anything.
thanks
