Mozilla delays Firefox 4 until 2011

Firefox is slipping in its development schedule; Mozilla says it won't be able to release version 4.0 this year, and will have to delay the final version until early next year. "Completing this work is taking longer than initial estimates indicated as we track down regressions and sources of instability," the company said in a statement. "As part of our commitment to beta users, we will not ship software before it is ready."

I would rather wait several months than to get an incomplete or bug-ridden browser; so Mozilla.org may take as long as they want regarding the release of FF 4.xxx

I do agree.

Waiting to publish is always better than receiving bad press about an unstable build.

I noticed earlier today you could sign up to beta test 4.0 but now it seems like the whole website is down; at least for me I can't reach mozilla.org

I've been running FF 4.0 Beta 8 for a couple of weeks or so, it seems to be good, very much so than Beta 1 & 2 were.
