Mode not supported, please change resolution

I have been running 7 fine for the last 2+ years, today on a restart I get the following message on boot-up. Go into safe mode and no problem with display, no matter what I set the resolution too in SM it will still not work in normal mode.
Samsung Sync master B2230HD
Windows 7601 build SP1
AMD A8-3850
Radeon 6550D HD Graphics.
Any Ideas?
