How to make transfer of large files faster between two laptops (ad hoc)joined to a homegroup?

Hi to all,
I have connected two laptops via ad hoc network which are joined to a homegroup ,and I need to transfer some large files(30 gigs) from the one to the another laptop,but the file transfer speed is very slow (800 KB/s).
So my question is how can I make that process faster?
Please answer to me!
