Do thumb dirives have their own Recycle Bin?

Win7 SP1.

I notice that when deleted files from a thumb
drive are observed in the Recycle Bin, these
disappear when the thumb drive is removed, only to
reappear when the thumb drive is reconnected.

I assume that the "empty recycle bin" will delete
files from the computer and the thumb drive, when
connected, and any wiping software will attend to
any drives plugged in.

Mine never appear in the Recycle Bin; and I've just been checking the
Bin Help file and it shows no option for doing that.
The dialogue I get with delete from a thumb drive asks "Do you want to
permanently delete this file?" as opposed to deletes elsewhere which ask
"Do you want to move this file to the Recycle Bin?"

Curious. Mine appear in the bin until I unplug
the thumb drive, or delete them.
