SOLVED Desktop measures 3200x1080px ???

I use a standard 4:3 screen and my desktop resolution is set to 1280x1024 but when I make a screen capture of the desktop, the image measures a whopping 3200x1080px with my desktop on the left and loads of free space to the right! I stumbled upon this because some programs I opened seemed to open "off screen". All the settings in Windows or NVidia control panel appear to be normal. Does anyone else have this issue?

Hi Cottonbean

Can you press "Windows Logo + P" to see which projection mode you are using?

If you are only using one monitor this setting should be set to "Computer Only"

That solved that one! I had HDTV activated in the settings although I don't have one connected. Ny Desktop was set to stretch across both screens. I have now set to one screen and all's well. Thanks!
