Desktop (Create Shortcut)

OREALLY

Hi,

Somebody must know where Windows Registry stores the 'Desktop (Create
Shortcut)' for the right context menu 'send to' option. Mine has
disappeared. This one of the default listings in the 'send to' menu...along
with the drives on the computer. I've been through several ideas here on
this forum, but no cigar, as yet. C'mon guys and gals...someone must know
how to re-establish this useful function.

Thanks

Oreally

Have you tried any of the following?

These were the first three links in a web search I just did. I don't
know if any of the answers are accurate or not.

I had the same problem and the link I posted worked for me. Google for more
options. That's how I get answers.

I'm googling in my sleep.

What do you think of this?

Looks like quite a bit of reg info. If I create a system restore before
trying this, am I safe to assume it will return the registry back prior to
this fix?...(if something goes awry)

System Restore has saved my butt a few times with no problem.

Try to find a solution where the proposer has created a .reg file for
you.

Importing a .reg file into the registry saves you from the fear of typos
(if you trust the provider!).

Also, the provider of a .reg file is often kind enough to provide a
second .reg file to undo the first file's work.
