Creating a Bootable Win7 install DVD

A

~~Alan~~

I have a Win7 installation on a bootable thumb drive and want to use it to
create a bootable DVD. How can I do this? Manually, tools, etc?

Thanks,
~alan

Actually I found this:

I obtained oscdimg.exe from the Windows 7 AIK. With my files on the thumb
drive, f:, I used the command from a command window running as
administrator:

oscdimg.exe –bf:\boot\etfsboot.com –u2 –h -m -lWIN_EN_DVD f:\ C:\Win7.iso

which created an .iso file in the root of C: for me to then use to burn a
bootable DVD.

Thanks anyway.

No, thank you. You have given an idea to me, and probably to a few
others as well.

Noticing your broken quoting, I looked at your headers. Yep, Windows
Live Mail. There's been a controversial, or at least contentious, thread
or two in this newsgroup about that. I can't seem to track it down, but
the thread or threads are only a few days old, if you want to look.

Seeing your post, I can what happened. I copied and pasted from the web
site I found. Here is the link from a google search

oscdimg.exe –bf:\boot\etfsboot.com –u2 –h -m -lWIN_EN_DVD f:\ C:\Win7.iso
