Hi Guys,
something strange(to me) has gone wrong with my computer. Had no problems

it the it boots ok, before it just booted up ok.
Any ideas on how to put this right
Thanks and Regards
Bob

It sounds like the master boot record got corrupted.
Instructions to repair it are found here;

Might be able to fix things by booting the XP Disk and doing a "repair"
install which should just reload the operating system files that might
be missing.

As LouB mentioned, the drive itself may be on it's way out, provided it
is even allowing you to access the data after booting with your CD.

If you do have access to the data you might want to try to backup all
your data to another drive before trying to "fix" anything in case
things just get worse.

Are you running Windows XP or Windows 7?

You're using broken english with poor syntax and also some words are taken out
of context.

In other words you were fired for not even trying to help callers with
problems. Goodbye.

Maybe he accidentally replied to the wrong post :)

I certainly had no difficulties with the OP, and I am known to be awfully
