changed desktop look and settings ?

Somewhere along the way of cleaning things up, I clicked on something that
changed my desktop look.
Instead of the stock look, as I had, I now have kind of a generic no frills
look.
The background is blue. the taskbar is grey and it doesn't have the shadows
and highlighting the original had.
Now when I go to my own website, my flash video player is not displayed.
The MP3 player on the main page only shows the place holder portion, not
the loaded player.
This is true in Firefox, IE, and chrome.

So what did I click to do this?

Flash player works fine on youtube.
Wimpy player works fine on their home page.
These two items do not work for me on MY site.

I think what "slug" was trying to say was "So what was the fix??"

Sounds like he clicked the 'classic mode' somewhere, as that's what you
get with windows classic mode.
I have it that way, as I don't like the original or new look. Classic
also uses less resources, especially if you don'y have much ram.

But that's only my opinion.

I hate it when people won't share their useful discovery with those whom
they asked for help.

What he might have been saying was, the non-generic frilly look, with a
fancy background and taskbar, shadows, highlighting, and flash is a PITA
and the OP seems to have found a way to fix it. I wouldn't totally
disagree with that. :)

That's RtS's signature. He very frequently posts a question, and often
20 minutes later "I figured it out."

He clicked something else and now cannot communicate with the outside
world.

So it might, now, seem, BeeJ, but richard was able to ... at least once!
