Hi,
I installed Win 7 first,then I installed Win XP.After that there isnt any OS choice(Win 7,Win XP),system goes directly to XP.So I repaired the boot using the repair option in the Win 7 DVD.Then I could go to Win 7. But I lost my XP.My current "boot.ini" file has

[boot loader]
timeout=30
default=multi(0)disk(0)rdisk(0)partition(4)\WINDOWS
[operating systems]
multi(0)disk(0)rdisk(0)partition(4)\WINDOWS="Microsoft Windows XP Professional" /noexecute=optin /fastdetect

But there isnt any boot choice at startup.,the system goes directly to Win 7

I think you'll need to use the EasyBCD tool to configure your boot menu:

http://neosmart.net/dl.php?id=1

You can then add Windows XP back on to the boot menu :)

edit: I am assuming you have this on different partitions, anilthomas26? I've answered your query in your other thread Zeke :)

No XP install viewable

To get straight to the point. With windows software you have to install the oldest OS first before a newer one.

If you install windows 7 before XP then you wont see a bootup option for XP.

Install XP first before 7 and your problem should go away
