The PC I am having trouble with is an older P4 running Windows 7 and I just switched the graphics card out of it and installed an nvidia geforce 7600gt (thats the only change since this started happening, but the machine hasn't been turned on for a while so who knows...). The information is below:

KERNEL_DATA_INPAGE_ERROR (7a)
The requested page of kernel data could not be read in. Typically caused by
a bad block in the paging file or disk controller error. Also see
KERNEL_STACK_INPAGE_ERROR.
If the error status is 0xC000000E, 0xC000009C, 0xC000009D or 0xC0000185,
it means the disk subsystem has experienced a failure.
If the error status is 0xC000009A, then it means the request failed because
a filesystem failed to make forward progress.
Arguments:
Arg1: c020b744, lock type that was held (value 1,2,3, or PTE address)
Arg2: c000009d, error status (normally i/o status code)
Arg3: 00ced860, current process (virtual address for lock type 3, or PTE)
Arg4: 82dd1064, virtual address that could not be in-paged (or PTE contents if arg1 is a PTE address)

Debugging Details:

Thank you very much for the response! I had put on a program before to check drive status and I just ran it after reading your post and the hard drive showed a DST fail. I guess that means I'll be getting a new harddrive for her computer.

I looked inside the case to see if I'd pulled any wires by accident and there were none that were disconnected. The only thing inside is a SATA cable that is plugged into the motherboard but not into anything else. I guess my fiance's step dad had planned to put another SATA drive in there but changed his mind and didn't pull the cord back out.

Thank you for your help :)
