Hi guys...

On occassion, a couple of times a month, i'm using IE8 and when browsing, the status box says Done, as in the page has loaded, but the page is blank/white.

It keeps doing it on and off for a few hours and then it's all fine again.

It's a little annoying but nothing that drives me crazy, i'm just asking incase it's a known problem and i should do something before it escalates. Or just incase someone knows what the problem is and can guide me in the right direction.

TIA Win7 Gods.:) (that's you lot by the way) :D

I'm not sure about this one. I don't use IE8.

Have you considered just switching to Firefox?

It's a much better browser.

Have you tried clearing your cache & deleting cookies?
Do you have compatibility mode enabled?
Do you run any adblockers or addins like ie7pro?
Are you using the 32 or 64-bit browser? 64-bit cannot do flash.

In Internet Options - Advanced (adjust these if different) ...
check "Disable Script Debugging (Internet Explorer)"
uncheck "Display a notification about every script error"
check "Enable automatic crash recovery"

Cleared cache and cookies.
Compat enabled yesterday but it's been going on for a while so...
No ad blockers.
32-bit

Thanks for your suggestions but before i try them, are they anything really important?, i'm not very knowledgeable and won't be able to fix it if i mess with something.

If you wrote html you might want Script debugging and the display notification, I'm guessing you don't and if a site has an error it's not like you can fix it anyway.

Automatic crash recovery means if IE dies for some reason it restores back to where it was when you reopen.
