bitdefender 09 firewall

my bitdefender firewall no longer works, every time i try to activate it i get an error
"cannot connect to bitdefender virus shield service!"
any ideas?

Whew! Nice PC! As for your Bitdefender problem, I can't help you except to say that I had Bitdefender, but it got really glitchy, so I switched to AVG Internet Security 8.0 and now I'm fine. I don't think Bitdefender is compatible with Windows 7. Here's the official Microsoft page where you can find the only three AV programs that for sure work with 7.

haha thanks, cost about £4/500 to assemble myself...
changed to kaspersky now, thanks for that site.
now to stop "windows defender" running....

Do a roll back to a time b4 you installed bitdefender

bitdefender 2009 works with 7. currently using, is a doozy.

BitDefender Total Security 09 is just a little compatible with W7.

BUT, you can sign up for their beta test of TS '10. Works like a charm
