Best budget graphics card?

I'm looking to get a budget graphics card for gaming for my other half's PC, ideally something that could run Assassins Creed. The budget is up to £50 (~$80), so I'm not expecting anything top class

I'd be interested to hear any recommendations, as it's been a while since I bought any graphics hardware

You might be able to pick up a 2nd hand 8800 range card for that price, which would run things very well.

The ATI 4670 might is worth looking at, as that is around £50 (could be a little more). It's better than the 9500GT which is the NVidia alternative.

I have one and it's great. Runs Lord of the Rings online perfectly, which has really good graphics.

The 2nd hand 8800 GTS would be the best buy at £50, there are some 768MB models going on ebay at that price.

9400 / 9500 gt e low end cards , 9600 gt is much better
