Best SSD Drive?

I'm not sure which is the best SSD Drive. I have it down to Kingston HyperX or the Samsun 840 and I'm looking for 120 GB drive for the OS. The more I look the more confused I become. Any advice on the best and fastest SSD Drive?

I have a 120 GB 840 Samsung in my desktop and it's been fine. I had a 120 GB Intel 330 series in the desktop before the Samsung and later moved the Intel to my Acer laptop. My vote between Intel and Samsung goes to Intel. I don't think you can go wrong with the Samsung though.

It looks like I should buy the 250 GB instead of the 120 because the read is 110 MB faster

I've got the Intel 520 (240gb) and Samsun 840 (256gb) - both are great drives and I've had no problems with either of them. This article at Toms Hardware may help you out:

Personally, I'd buy based on price to an extent - the Samsung 840 is very good value for money in the UK at the moment, so that decided for me .

I don't think TLC based SSD is stable enough for using as system drive, I use a 128GB Renice external USB 3.0 SSD with Windows 8.1 OS, it uses 19nm MLC flash, with the read speed up to 380MB/S. more h t t p : / / g o o . g l / o 9 w e 1 A
