Antivirus

Good afternoon everyone,

I've been using Microsoft Security Essentials to protect my laptop that is running Windows 7 Ultimate 64 bit but someone was advising me that MSE is no good. I've never had any problems with it but then again it might not be picking the virus up.

Can anyone recommend the best antyvirus to buy?

I've currently purchased Malwarebytes premium so I'm protected for malware. Just need a good antivirus now.

MSE is wonderful. Just update virus definition in a regular manner. I don't see any other free antivirus better than MSE. I have been using MSE for the last 7 years for my PC and laptop.

Avast is another good free antivirus. Its malware scan capability is quite impressive.
