Add a file association name (now unlisted) to a file type

I have a .7z file to open. The .7 Zip program is listed among the other programs, but there is no .exe associated with the .7 Zip program. There is no .7z among the files listed.

1. How do I add .7z to the inventory of files with which programs can be associated to open those files?
2. How do I associate the .7z program listed as 7-Zip 9.22beta with .7z files?
