DVD/CD drive not working..in win 7..

My dvd drive is not working..(TSST corpDVD +-RWTS-L633C ATA DEVICE)..What shud i do..?

Basically it does not detect any inserted DVD/CD..Clicking on the icon aftr inserting the disc jst shows---"Please enter your disc"..

Did it work in the past and then suddenly stop working or is this a new W7 upgrade and it no longer works?

If it used to work in W7 but stopped then it likely died. It happens and will need replaced.
