wipe/erase files in W 7

In XP I used an Acronis privacy suite to wipe certain files. Are there
free utilities to do the same in W 7?
Thanks, Jeff

Look at FileMenu Tools from www.lopesoft.com
It has a shred option plus a load of other features.

Thank you.
The Acronis Privacy suite I used in XP had some nice features like
-wiping all unused disc space
-wiping all temp files
-wiping downloaded components
-wiping trash
etc.
I'm just afraid to use it in W 7 in case it wipes the wrong things, but
I might try to install it in W 7 and use it (after backing up).

Downloaded and installed it. Seems quite good. Thank you.

Now I need to find tasks for getting rid of temp files or downloaded
components, or cookies and the like that I can import so I do not
accidentally create a task that does damage ......
