Windows Update Error 646

I posted the message below in an Office forum and was advised to udpate
with my Office disk in a drive. This approach did not work no one else
offered any other suggestions, so I'm posting the question here.

Well then try updating manually. I told you how to get around the 646 error and
since you say it did not work for you then try manually
