Windows 7 64bit Screesaver doesn't work

Hey folks, new here. I am having an issue with my screesaver not turning on. I did do a diagnostic start up and it started to work again but I had services. I can't figure out what is causing the interference. I have read the the MS mouse could do it but I am using a Logitech. I have done all of the windows updates and nothing.

I have an Asus G53sx laptop with W7 home premium 64bit. It's only about a month old. Should I just do a clean install using the recovery DVD's? I could take some screen shots if needed. Please help. Thanks.

Hi Cubanmsl. I'm not honestly sure how to yelp ya, other than to say it is likely a running program causing the system to not reach the timeout point to start the screensaver. Perhaps someone else will have some ideas or experience with this!
