win7 upgrade offline

Hi,

I have a laptop running Vista that I want to upgrade to Windows 7.

I dont use this laptop online, and would prefer not to have to connect it. I
use it purely for off-line work.

I want to upgrade it to windows 7, but I assume I will need to activate the
new software online.

Can anyone help / advise me pls.

No version of Windows have ever required online activation. Telephone
activation has always been available.

By the way, it's interesting that you say "I use it purely for
off-line work." We are exact opposites in that regard. I use my laptop
only when traveling on vacation, and almost exclusively for e-mail.
