All of you discouraged by returning drives (that Win 7-BACKUP didn't like) are among those that just want a drive big enough to handle our huge backups------and can't seem to get an IMAGE,( but anything else you CAN like all user files or anything thru windows Explorer), need to check out Windows knowledge base KB # 2510009 -- Info about Microsoft Policy for Large Sector Drives (Mine was a 3TB External Drive)

ADDED: Win 7 Backup doesn't like 4k formated drives( when attempting to make an IMAGE). which most Ext Hard Drives are today. I found a way to stop this and still have an Ext Hard Drive with at least 2TB. Buy an "Internal Drive" (Formatted to 512 Bytes) and put it in an ENCLOSURE. WORKS fine.
