WIN 7 - CONNECT TO EXISTING NETWORK

How do I connect my Win 7 pc to an existing wired network. I do not want to create any home group - just connect and share files with my other pc's 4 XP's, Vista 32, Vista 64 machine. I also have problem with the network discovery and file sharing option.
