SOLVED Temp in windows and temp on controller are different.

My PC is 47 degreese c according to my case sensor (thats the CPU) but windows says its running at 71 degreese c. which one should i believe?

Here are my specs

INTEL CORE I3 2120 @3.3GHZ

ASUS P8H61-MLE MOTHERBOARD

CIT MARS RED PC CASE

STOCK INTEL COOLER FAN

250GB SEAGATE BARRUCUDA HDD

I Checked that and it said a different reading it said 34, Windows said 74, and my Temp probe says 45 this is soo confusing.

I Put on a new cooler and thermal paste and its down to 40 under full load.

Mate, that is fantastic that you can do that yourself!
Just be careful with the paste, any air bubbles can affect the heat transfer.

One of the difficult things here, is not knowing how much or how little a person knows. There is no way I would have suggested to someone to do what you did.

Now I know that you seem to be "on the ball" I can be less reserved when suggesting things to you, if you need any assistance in the future.

But, outstanding! Well done!
