No Images in Live Mail

Q

Quilljar

I have had windows 7 for about a month now and am delighted with it.
However, when I first used Live Mail it would show images in emails when I
clicked on 'Show Images'. Now this has stopped and when I click to see an
image it does not appear. I have tried Tools, Help etc but cannot find how
to restore this facility. any help please?

Have a look in Tools > Safety options > Security.
There is a couple of options there about displaying
images etc. that might be turned on.

Unfortunately, I already checked this but with no success.

When I get an email with an image it just displays it without having to
click on anything. In fact, I can't see a 'Show Images ' button or
option anywhere. Where on the toolbar is that button displayed?

Where is the "tools" to be found please? I have got my specs on.
I have had a new comp with Win 7 64 bit for a couple of days and am finding
Mail a bit difficult.

On the Menu Bar. Is the Menu Bar missing? Click on the Menu Button, (to
the left of the Help button), and click to Show Menu Bar.

Microsoft, in their desire to have a clean uncluttered workspace, decided to
hide the menu bar by default. You have to 'unhide' it.
On the top right-hand side of Live Mail there are three icons.
The middle one is 'Menus'.
On the drop-down menu select 'Show menu bar'.
The Tools are on the menu bar.

I still cannot get my emails to show their images. I have looked at all the
menus and tools there are I believe. I have also checked the firewall.

Do you have antivirus software that could be interfering with emails ?

You don't by chance have " read all messages in plain text " checked in the
read tab of options do you?

Yeehaaar! My email images have returned! I have no idea why, but something I
did must have caused it. Thanks to those who replied to my cry for help!
