How to create system partition

Hi friends,

I have 2 drives on my hard disk c: & d:.
While installing windows 7 i formated my c:. Now it shows the error "unable to create or locate system partition". Now I formated my c: , hence I dont have OS installed on hard disk. Also I have very imp data on D:. So I want to create c: as system partition without deleting data of d:.

If there is an expert please please help me on this issue.

I would try deleting the partitions on drive C so it becomes "unallocated". Then go into the BIOS and set your optical drive is first boot item. Then put your Win7 OEM install disk into the drive and re-start the computer. Since you have no OS installed on your machine, you'll have to place your drive into a friend's machine so you can access COMPUTER > Management > Disk Management.
